We recently had some issues with an AS2 project and FLVPlayback component. Strangely, it was behaving different in IE and Firefox. After a day of trouble shooting I’ve written a script to trace out the metadata to find out that the frame rate was set to 29.997.. , although exported with 25 fps (After Effects).
I thought this would be a good AIR application for our Designers. Simple to use and will save a lot of debugging time

This app targets 16-20 year old youngsters and encourages them to sign up for the RAF. It shows the story of a typical rescue mission in Afghanistan.

This exciting project is a registration form that runs on a tablet pc. The tablets were used by Infiniti staff at the Geneva Motor Show. I took over the project from a previous developer. It was badly written and buggy. I rewrote the app with exception of the keyboard component.
Microsite developed in Actionscript 3 and fully xml-drive. Initially there was a transition between pages (oldschool 90’s style). The pages were aligned on a grid and the the camera would move to the selected page. The client wanted to get rid off it in the end.
Nissan Horn Section is a Christmas Game. The user plays Nissan Car Horns along tune, similar to Guitar Hero. Game is written in Actionscript 3 but unfortunately without the use of Flash 10’s new sound API, due to client request. The challenge was to get the timings right without having access to the sound buffer (no audio sample accuracy) . The score depends on the input accuracy, which can be sent to a friend for a challenge. I was also responsible for the sound recording which took place at a Nissan dealer. T-Mobile’s “Etable” is a single-touch application for in-store touch screen in the UK. It was built and in Flex and the Cairngorm framework. The entire content is xml-driven that allows the author to control the most basic properties of the DisplayObject such as alpha, x, y, width, height as well as any copy..
The application is deployed via T-Mobiles server that packages the swf with resources and deploys it the stores. Therefore the app loads content from the local hard-drive.

This is ongoing work for Infiniti’s online magazine “Infiniti Insider”. I haven’t written the application, I took it over an have maintained it for the last three issues. It involved some amends and bug fixes. Magazine os fully localised for the european market.
